Please join us to celebrate 50 years of the Judy Garland collection and festivals in Grand Rapids! This year, you can purchase a Festival Bundle which inludes one ticket to each activity; by bundling you save money. Thursday, June 19th  

  • 10 am: Special Access Guided Tour with museum curator, John Kelsch
  • 11 am: Ruby Slipper Theft Tour    
  • 11:30 am – 3:30 pm: Classic Judy movies playing in the party room
  • 4pm:  Oz & Judy Trivia. Each person will get their own answer sheet!
  • 5pm:  Cocktail hour at Museum    
  • 5:30pm:  A Night at the Museum – Who Stole the Ruby Slippers Dinner Party        
  • 7pm :  Judy’s “Joyride” Party Bus leaves the museum with stops along the way  

Friday, June 20th

  • 10 am:  Special Access Guided Tour with museum curator, John Kelsch
  • 11 am:  Ruby Slipper Theft Tour  
  • 12pm – 1pm:  Ruby Slipper Auction Overview with museum staff and special guest
  • 3pm:  Renowned Judy and Wizard of Oz author, John Fricke Presentation
  • 6:30pm:  Judy Bingo at Klockow Brewing
  • 8pm: New York City artist Margie Shrimpton performs Judy Garland
  • 9pm:  Showing of the Wizard of Oz at Klockow Brewing                     

Saturday June 21st

  • 10 am: Special Access Guided Tour with museum curator, John Kelsch
  • 11 am: Ruby Slipper Theft Guided Tour 
  • 11 am: John Fricke
  • 1:30pm: Meet at the Judy house for a group festival picture
  • 2pm: Ice cream social and share stories, pictures, memorabilia from old festivals.
    John Kelsch will share about the museums 50yr history

 

WIZARD OF OZ THEMED FREE COMMUNITY EVENT.
 Most wheelchairs dancing in one place, at one time.
Held at YANMAR ARENA’S MINERS PAVILION

  • 4pm: Wizard of Oz Carnival at the Rink for all ages
    • Bounce house and face painting and games
    • “Live History” actors in Judy characters at different ages
    • Food Trucks and drinks in parking lot
  • 5pm: Dance for Guiness World Record - Orchestra to play Wizard of Oz music
  • 5:30 pm: New York City artist Margie Shrimpton performs Judy Garland
  • 7pm: head downtown to enjoy live music (listing on the back)
  • 10 pm:  LaserEncore Light Show at MyPlace Hotel parking lot in Grand Rapids

Sunday – June 22nd

  • 9am - Final goodbyes at the museum
  • Judy movies are showing throughout the day at the museum
  • PRIDE Festival hosted in downtown Grand Rapids
